Jacqui has been a leading trans right activist for the last thirty years where she came to the fore after she was ousted by the national press as transgender model.

Unlike many activists Jacqui has always used her unwanted fame as a role model to raise the issue of creating a positive experience for the transgender community in everything that she does. Currently she is employed as a Civil Servant where she works at the very heart of UK government in improving the policy and guidance on transgender issues across Whitehall.

In addition, Jacqui does a range of tasks in support of the transgender community from her work with Liverpool Pride, as a Non-Executive Director for MyGwork, a speaker and role model with Diversity Role Models, Purple Tie Promotions and Stonewall, a trustee for Pink Triangle Theatre and the Michael Causer Foundation.
